Planing knives
(article 40) are made of the best steels and are heat
treated using the most advanced techniques, in order to
guarantee both high performance and long life of the tool.
The precision and care used in manufacturing our planing
knives ensure the best possible working conditions, and
make them the best choice for use with industrial planing
machines.
Stella
Bianca planing knives are available in four versions,
depending on the material used: Chrome-Vanadium steel,
13%Chrome steel, HSS 18%W steel, TCT (Tungsten Carbide
Tipped) steel. For more technical details, please check
the table at the end of the page. TCT planing knives
are made welding a hard metal insert on a special steel
body, in order to obtain maximum endurance and long
life.

Bianca planing knives are normally available in two
sizes: 30x3mm and 35x3mm. However, it is possible to
request different sizes of width and thickness: delivery
time is very short. If you need further information,

We
remind you that for a correct and satisfying utilisation
of our planing knives, it is necessary to choose knives
having size suited to the machine being used. The knife
length should be equal to that of the cutter head, or
a little greater. The same considerations apply to thickness.

metals, wood, paper and so on. Thanks to our great manufacturing
flexibility, we are also able to realise, starting from
a drawing or a model supplied by the customer, knives
for multipurpose portable machines and for the most common
single/double-cylinder machines, and industrial straight
blade knives for any purpose. Straight blade knives can
be manufactured up to a maximum length of 4200mm, with
any section, and are subject to guaranteed steel analysis.
